NON-INVASIVE PROCEDURES

BOTOX® Cosmetic & Dysport

Over time, contractions of facial muscles produce permanent furrows and deep wrinkles in the skin, especially around the eyes, between the eyebrows, and on the forehead. These lines can make you look older, angry or tired. Botox Cosmetic and Dysport are made from botulinum toxin A, a therapeutic muscle-relaxing agent approved by the FDA for the treatment of wrinkles. When injected into the skin, both Botox and Dysport block the junction between nerves and facial muscles, paralyzing the muscles and smoothing the overlying skin for a younger and more refreshed appearance.

After treatment with Botox or Dysport, the appearance of your wrinkles begins to improve within 24 hours, with full results developing gradually over the next five-ten days. Most patients achieve their desired results after just one injection, although additional treatment sessions may be required in the future. The results of Dysport and Botox® injections typically last three to four months.

Injectable Fillers

The surgeons of Dallas Plastic Surgery Institute use many injectable fillers, including Juvederm, Restylane, Perlane, Radiesse and Sculptra. All of these products are safe, effective gels that are designed to add volume to the skin. Dermal fillers are injected in the office with topical or local anesthesia. These products can be used to reshape the face, or to eliminate facial lines and wrinkles. The costs of the procedure vary depending on the specific product and amount used. Fillers are used most commonly to augment the lips, reduce the nasolabial folds (marionette lines), augment the check boned, and to treat dark circles and tear troughs in the lower eyelids. Results can be seen right after the procedure is completed.
